Memberships

How much do memberships cost?

This will depend on the specific mix of programs and number of members on each plan. Contact us or stop by the academy to discuss a membership plan that fits your needs.

Do you offer family plans?

Yes. The more members you have, the deeper the discount per member.

 

 

First-Timers

Do I need to be in shape before starting training?

No, this is a common misconception. You do not need to be “in shape” before starting your training. Use Jiu-Jitsu as your way to get in shape.

Am I too old to start training?

You're never too old, and it’s never too late to start training. We have students ages 60+ training within our academy. Come try a class and decide for yourself!

Can I try a class before signing up?

Absolutely. Click here to register for a FREE one on one intro lesson or group trial class.

What do I wear to class?

Standard athletic clothing like shorts, leggings, and a fitted t-shirt are appropriate. It's recommended for women to wear a sports bra or compression top. The academy will provide you with a loaner uniform (Gi) to use during your first class.

No metal, jewelry, long nails, or lots of makeup.

Do you provide uniforms?

Uniforms are provided at wholesale cost upon enrollment.

HOw do I tie my belt?

Classes & Training

Do you have no-gi classes?

Yes. We offer both Gi and No-Gi classes. You can see our class schedule here.

Do you offer online classes?

Not at this time.

How many classes can I attend each week?

The number of classes you can attend depends on the membership package you purchase. Contact us or stop by the academy to discuss a membership plan that fits your needs.

How many times a week should I train?

Every individual will learn and retain information at different rates. A general rule of thumb is 2-3 times a week minimum.

At what age can kids start jiu-jitsu classes?

Every child is unique, and an initial assessment conducted by the instructor is recommended before any sign-ups occur. However, between the ages of 3-5 is typically a good starting point.

Can kids compete in jiu-jitsu?

Yes. It’s recommended children spend at least 3-6 months training before their first competition.

How do kids transition to adults classes?

Age, size, and maturity level will all play a role in transitioning from the kids program into the adults. Generally speaking, children will start to transition between the ages of 13-16.
